Because my husband is on the Fairboard for our County, he was asked to attend the 6th District High School Rodeo this past Friday and Saturday at the Cassia County Fairgrounds. This also includes the Junior High School athletes. Members of the fairboard who were there to help stayed pretty busy preparing the grounds and the chutes, opening gates, refilling toilet paper & paper towel in the restrooms and finding lost cell phones under the grandstands. Haha! They enjoyed every minute of it!
The kids did great and no one got seriously hurt, although we did witness a few mishappenings we questioned temporarily, but were so grateful they were A-Ok! The rodeo was sponsored by the Cassia County Mounted Sheriff's Posse and the Cassia County Fairboard. It was so much fun to go watch these upcoming athletes in their pursuit to become the best in their field.
The dates for the remaining 6th District High School Rodeos is shown below. If you're in the area, this is definitely a must go-see. They all did a fantastic job! It was such a great family activity with good rodeo food and great entertainment.
